About Allen

Allen Hatton has 40 years of executive business experience coupled with an extensive history of non-profit service and leadership. For over 20 years he has held positions as an interim CEO in business and industry as well as Interim Executive Director in not for profit organizations. Allen is also a trained Executive Coach and has coached CEO’S and executive leaders in
business, higher education, medicine, defense, aerospace, hospitality, government, and Executive Directors of not for-profits.

Allen is widely recognized as a creative problem solver with a history of getting to the heart of an issue.  His "Mastermind Within" programs have proven to be successful in having entire

management teams and their direct reports actively involved in solving their own problems. His management and “accountability with love” systems are easily implemented and help organizations achieve their growth, profitability and sustainability goals as well as assisting non-profits in achieving their mission objective.

Allen’s career shift from more traditional old style management to a cutting-edge coach approach to leadership was a natural progression over the last 20 years, reflecting his belief that times have changed and management must also change. His approach to leadership and management not only positively impacts the organization, but also the employee’s personal life. His objective is to create more leaders not more followers.

He has been a member of the International Leadership Association, the International Coach Federation, the Association of Interim Executives and the Association of Maryland Non Profits.

Allen is Coach University certified as well as having completed the Harvard Business School “Coaching for Results” program. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from The University of Baltimore.

Allen’s community service has been far reaching and includes having served on the Howard County Partnership of The United Way, The University of Baltimore Leadership Advisory Council, a mentor for Maryland Family and Children Services and training in the Alternatives to Violence Prison Project. Allen currently serves on the Board of Directors of "Living In Recovery," a non-profit organization offering substance free housing and peer support for those who wish to reclaim their lives by breaking the cycle of Addiction, Rehab and Relapse.
